  1. I shall be spending my Amazon voucher online and then going down the boozer:upyeah:

  2. I shall be preparing our village hall for an evening of curry, banter and helping my friends consume a couple of firkins of Black William.

  3. "Radiate Simply" El T!

  4. Watching wheeler dealers on discovery shed. Considering he is allegedly a 'professional' mike brewer is an awful salesman!

  5. Out on bike. Just what I needed :upyeah:

Felt a bit new-school as the only non old style numtpy ;-)

  6. He's clearly not a professional, otherwise he'd still be earning a living from it, rather than tarting himself out to a TV company...

  7. Right now I'm drinking merlot and eating Stilton :)

  8. For the second time in a month, hearing about the suicide of a great friend. One friend is tragic. A second is beyond words.

  9. He's a very well off tart! I quite like him, he doesn't take himself too seriously and he has a good formula for entertaining blokes TV

  10. :frown:

  11. I've made another dozen minced pies.
And the Hairy Bikers's Ultimate Fish Pie.

Now going to make the BBC Sri Lanken turkey curry.
Already had roast turkey with trimmings twice (that's 6 portions), turkey fricassé twice (4 portions). Still about 1/4 turkey left. Turkey is good VFM.

bastard neighbours are probably sale shopping online

  13. Sadly I know exactly how you feel. Hug your loved ones and realise just how lucky you are. Without friends you are nothing.

  14. I agree, I lost two very good friends in 2012 both were only 48 years old, makes you start to appreciate the simple, important things in life.

  15. Successful days fishing off Weston super mare beach -caught a monkfish. Tide goes out about a mile, so it was an impressive cast!

Went home and cooked Risotto rice, with monkfish, saffron and red peppers, from Rick Steins 'Spain' .

very nice indeed. Eaten alongside a glass of a chilled Pinot Gregory.
    :upyeah:

  16. Nothing better than fresh fish, well done that man:upyeah:

  17. Nice one! Monkfish is a bit of a treat in this house. The preferred recipe being poached in a court bouillon and left to cool. Then cover it in homemade mayonnaise and eat with a salad and some crusty bread.
Not only is this delicious, but the court bouillon, once it has seen the monkfish, is just the business for other recipes and should be put in the freezer. My fish pie has just been made with one "I prepared earlier" - like 4 months ago.

  18. Well I had tickets to see Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel. I thought I was just going with SWMBO.

SWMBO had other plans and invited my best mate and his wife and my brother in law and his wife, as well as my next door neighbour. I thought I was seeing things when they turned up. My best mate lives two hours away and my brother in law lives in Spain!

We've had a great night though I thought Steve Harley was a bit shit.
