What I don't get is spending all that £££ on a big bang R1, then painting it (clearly devalueing it) then getting all the gear when you could buy a 1098/1198 and at least be on the same brand
Or even just having your Yamaha done in the Fiat colours. From what i have heard he may have to paint it back to a Factory Yamaha next year and buy some new leathers.
Ah but you are thinking logically. The law of averages says that not ALL bikers are especially bright. I bet you can leave an R1 out in the rain permanently and it would mind less than a Ducati. So maybe he's just incredibly practical....
Sort of off topic but still related, but I kept seeing a particular twat at this years TT who would arrive at a viewing point/pub/grandstand in a silver transit, then get out in full leathers, pick up a lid (no gloves) and walk around all day in his riding kit. What a fister.
Brilliant! That has to be one of the most stupid things I have ever heard! Normally you'd desperately want to ditch the lid and change out of leathers into something a little more comfortable for trackside viewing. A fetishist?
seen the same at the ulster motorcycle show and nw200 both times it was wet and these muppets got out of their cars, grabbed their lids from the car boot and walked off like this was perfectly normal behaviour

Saw a blue 99 r6 yesterday fairing aside everything that could be painted white .....err was foot pegs levers bars plate hanger mirrors ..... You had to see it but Christ it was lost in the 90's
Its just a giant p**s take! It's a statement about the current problems VR is having with the Duke and his aspirations to return to a Yam M1. I'm surprised it hasn't got Gp13 written on it somewhere. Very clever.
