  1. Modded my rear paddock stand so the swinging arm on my SS slots in every time.

    Started with two silicon nozzles

Then measured the gap between the cups and cut the nozzles in to spacers, moved the springs to hold it all in to place and hey presto all looks quite tidy

Took no more than 15 minutes.

What should I do with it? Sell it or do it up? I seem to remember seeing someone making cafe-racer-style tanks for Monsters - I could quite fancy something stripped-down and old-skool.

  5. redmax speed shop in hampshire do a tank/fairing/seat kit if the below look is something you fancy, its a monster under all that

  8. I managed to bypass the datatool s3 alarm that caused me a lot of grief today when I fitted my new mirrors the alarm tapped into the indicator wiring so when cutting to fit new mirrors it must have spiked the anti tamper circuit so did a quick google search and have now disabled the piece of shite , alarm still wired in just not working now , I really hate bike alarms and today reminded me why

  9. Some light cleaning.

  11. You did better than me; I ended up changing the loom on my SV1000 when the alarm immobilised the bike (should have done it to start with, changing the entire loom took about an hour and was easy). Datatool were a bunch of unhelpful wankers.

  12. You get into the unit and bridge pins 1&2 + 5&6 together and leave all the wiring as it is , just reconnects starting and immobiliser circuits
agree not a fan of datatool if it hadn't come with the bike I wouldn't have bothered

  13. Is it wise to post the above on an open forum?

  14. Bit awkward really, there are plenty of people who need help with their alarms, and god knows Datatool will not help you at all. But I understand what you are getting at.

  15. I'm sitting outside the tool hire shop waiting for it to open. It's blowing a gale and pissing down . I never want to go back to work after Christmas.

  16. Smoked my last fag ever (well, you've got to think positively...) and fired up the heater in the shed, bit of brekky and a cuppa, then it's tinkering time.

  17. Had my last roll up 6 years ago. I could still start again . In fact probably will if I ever loose the ability to do all the things I really enjoy. Like walking the fells, climbing and taking my dogs out. I really enjoyed smoking. Mind you although I smoked I was always fit. My niece, a PE teacher always said (while going up a big fell or mountain) "why is it you can roll and smoke a fag and still stay in front of me !"
I didn't give up for fitness sake. I gave up because I collapsed with chest pain !

  18. Stay strong

Fags taste like shit to me now and when I have felt the urge one puff and it makes me want to gag

Filthy dirty expensive habit - smoking sucks to ;)

  19. Best time to stop is when YOU want to . I tried umpteen times through pressure and always failed . The day I decided was the last day I smoked . 6 years now and do I feel better for it .

  20. The time seems right for me to quit. But I've been smoking for 40 years, heavily for the last 30. It's gonna be tough.
