After watching the vid of Redding being interviewed by Tim nice but dim and that rugby bloke with no hair off QOS, I'm not holding my breath on decent coverage...
looking like I will have to upgrade my sky package grr anyhows can I upgrade only for the duration of the season or will it have to be 12 months? eh? eh? anyone know ? eh?
...and how much do you think you will be paying for the 2015 season after the BT Sport "freebie" year ends and you've got to pay for it?
^^^^^ And if you are locked into a contract then you might not be able to get out without paying. When I was stuck with them it was for 18 months, never again!!!!
Most sat/cable contracts are 18 months now, which is why I'm stuck with Virgin. I'll be streaming it.
Avy idea on a source for that yet Fig? only things I've found are really laggy or full of adware, you can always torrent download but sometimes it's a day or two before anythings uploaded, even more sometimes.
Sadly not, but I expect there'll be plenty of options for streaming once the season starts. Whether there will be anything watchable is another matter. My Polish mate has Canal+ (billed to his mum's home address) and a couple of years ago he was getting every premiership footy game (most with english commentary) and every sports channel for under £25 a month.
I was looking at one of those boxes . They run through your Sky box don't they and you get ahem all the special channels that you usually pay lots for ( reminds me must cancel movies it's crap). How are people getting on with them ? And I wonder how long it will be before SKY shut that loophole down .
^^^^ Now TV is part of Sky and they sell a streaming box for £9.99, it's just a cut down Roku box but it does work well, it's £9.99 for a one day pass at the moment for all the Sky sports channels. I use a Roku box which allows me to access Netflix and NowTV, I pay £5.99 per month for Netflix and got a great deal for all the NowTV Sky movies channels via Groupon for £15.95 for 6 months, when this expires in March then it's £8.99 per month rising to £14.99 after that, at which point I will cancel. Streaming media boxes are very common place now and are pretty faultless, I have had mine go down once in the last 4 months for a few hours. I use Sky broadband to do the streaming. With NowTV you can run 4 applications including mobile and have up to 2 connected at once, it's the same with Netflix. If someone comes up with a package like the above for MotoGP then it might be worth getting if it's a decent subscription. A Roku box is about £50 to buy at the moment but I was lucky enough to get mine for £35 including delivery from Maplin before they put their prices up before Christmas.
2 options ill be looking at is: a: A live feed from a satellite....got a motorised system 1 deg west is the usual suspect for live feeds...Paris Dakar this year is supposed to be running from there....essentially you watch an uncut feed from whats been fed...no adverts or presenters....can make for interesting viewing...but then sometimes you might just end up looking at a camera that's been left on looking at nothing... b: As soon as the race is finished itll get uploaded to the net. Ive got my own avenue for getting that kind of stuff but its not actually live as It has to have happened to be grabbed. I would buy anything from BT if you paid me - they spent years ripping people off when they had the monopoly and for that reason ill never go back...bear a grudge I do!
Get friend with BT who is prepared to 'share' his login/password details. We have BT internet and so get the BT sport channels free, my Dad came round and put the relevant info into his ipad - now he can watch it at his house, also my Son is at university and watches it using the same method.
Yup - that's an alternative....although I don't know anyone with a BT Box. I must say though finding a live feed is the best way (for me anyway) cuts out all the shite...
Paid the £12 a month and getting it on sky platform . Must admit I have also watched 2 football matches over xmas on it aswell . Its £3 a week so even if I dont use it for anything other than moto gp , to me , its worth it so I can watch it live .
I'd rather chuck £12 in a pot, go round a mates house and use it for beer and bacon...just got to find a mate first
