Totally agree, there is something very unsavoury about people who do that to their kids. I find it rather disturbing.
I'm afraid I ended up watching this - the missus wanted to and it is cold in the garage. To be fair, there does seem to be considerable skill involved in the clipping aspect, and the dogs did not appear to be suffering (aside from the indignity perhaps). I have to conclude that this is a case of "it takes all sorts...". I did also wonder whether one could perhaps compare the oddity of it with the taste some have for turning bikes into choppers... although I admit to having been amused by the guys at Orange County Choppers on the Quest channel from time to time.
