I understand that bikes have a hard time as it is and lighting can help. However, modern cars have in the main three LED brake lights on the rear and still get rear ended. The issue is not what lights can fix ? From a legal stand point , if someone rear ended you its nearly always their fault. Incidents involving fatality or injury will have an investigation of some sort and will attract scrutiny from insurers. If you have something that was non compliant that could be directly attributed to their defence, then you start diluting your claim....or worse?
I had some tool of a cyclist behind me the other evening with one of those flashy front lights. Now they are fucking annoying!
"this enhances safety all around"…….. no it doesn't as more than likely the fooktard behind you has demonstrated the same level of piss poor observation and planning as you …...and trust me, the laws of physics don't change because of a mickey mouse flashy light….

In 14 years of riding, I've been run into the back of twice - once because the vehicle behind was too close to stop, and once because the old duffer had a brain fart, forgot that we were stopped at a red light and proceeded to floor it and drive through me. It's a nice thought, but I'm out.

Ducati Multistrada 1200 Brake Light Modulator | eBay My old module is now for sale... Re: the Youtube clip I need to fit the hazard switch to show you the different modes. Then I make a video on my phone...then I'll waste 1/2 the weekend trying to upload it in the wrong format.
Hazard warning light switch....if say you were out with a group and another make of bike broke down in a dangerous place. You might park behind them to warn other motorist that a bike other than a Multistrada may be stranded! The only hazard on my bike is the loose nut on the saddle...
No you can't. Not unless you break into the loom and do your own wiring. This thing is plug and play. If you are in programming and you select the indicators or press the brake it just reverts to normal operation. Selecting the programming pin and taking it to ground (via the hazard switch) without using the indicators or braking makes the lights flash and both indicators, a bit like a recovery truck lights.
