V5 in my name ( currently on sorn) owned since new. Spent nearly 4 grand on engine start of last year. Sent it down to Jeff at G-tech for engine blueprint and Pistal H/C pistons. Upgraded Brembo m/c, lightweight race subframes front and rear, full 70mm termi race system and race ECU. Looking for 5k for it, can be contacted via PM.
No catch, honestly! Sold off all the road bits (Mattmccabebrown bought the fairings last year) so decided to advertise it as a trackbike. Had a doner engine fitted in 2010 after the original succumbed to the well documented main bearing failure. Doner engine had 4.5k and now has done 6.5k which as mentioned has been blueprinted for reliability. I notice that pristine roadbikes are going for around 6-7k so figured my asking price of 5k to fair. I figured this asking price would save me prospective buyers using the lack of road parts as leveredge to haggle.
Looks good price but it's a track bike so about right IMHO Shame it wasn't cold month ago or is have stretched to this over my gixer
Difficult living situation and I'd have nowhere to keep a second bike at present, 12 months and things will be considerably different. A 1098 would be my ideal choice or an 848. Just means I'm going to have to use my Pani if I want to do a trackday, which I'm a little nervous about.
Not a problem, you buy it and I'll keep it in my garage, loads of room, and just to help you out I'll use it for my track days. Problem solved. Your of course welcome to use it when I'm not on track.
That's too kind but I couldn't possibly take advantage of you like that  Shame though, looks great and just what I would want....1 year and counting GL to the op selling, though I don't think it'll hang around long.
Been asked for some more pics of bike. This is about the only one not taken on a trackday. Sale does not include the R1.
It is such a shame you put this on now - I spent about £4k last year converting my 848 into a track bike! This is very nice….. wish I hadn't converted my 848, I could have kept that on the road and had this instead…..
