  1. Has anyone got one? What are they like? and what design have you got?

I'm after a vandal because the designs are cool,, I've got a Shoei xspirit 2 atm, but its not loud enough for me lol!!

  2. I had a Vandal. Comfy but the build quality was a bit naff. Bits broke, air vent broke. visor fixing broke. I had the KTM one. Looked real nice , shame really. I would not buy another.
I have my eye on a roof.

  3. Well does anyone know of a lid thats got awesome designs?

  4. Patience . You only asked 14 minutes ago !

  5. lol It's because I'm bored ADHD!! Sorry mate, and I didnt mean to put does anyone know. I was meant to put do you know lol!!

  6. Sorry no. I am a single colour type. 3 colour max.
Why not design your own. Spray ? Or does anyone do vinyl graphics for helmets ?

  7. thats pretty kool!!

  8. i have a Bostrom replica,i think it is a good helmet.
i know that the first suomy helmets had problemes with those covers on the side where the visor turn, those broke.
it is not like a arai but it is not the price off an arai either.

    henk!!!

  9. Bit of a departure from the norm for me today. I bough my very first loud helmet. The fit was perfect . Very comfy. I will soon find out if it's loud in the wind noise sense.

  10. moved to clothing

  11. Suomy Excel here for past 3 helmets.. Absolutely love em and they just fit right for my head.. Used to have Shoei but they dont seem to fit anymore, Arai doesnt fit either. havent tried AGV

They have some nice designs on a german website at reasonable prices

  12. Suomy's are okay, but it is a massive step down in terms of technology from a Shoei X-Spirit 2. The Shoei is an absolutely class bit of kit. I used to sell Suomy's years ago and they were nice for a mid-range lid, just under the likes of Shoei and Arai, but the X-Spirit 2 is Shoei's flag-ship...

  13. I have had 3 now .
I have an Apex at the mo.
    Mainly because it's light .

    Wasn't impressed after 2 days a vent broke ... :( :(
The place I brought it from where dreadfully rude .
I asked it to be replaced or refunded they repaired it :( :(
After two wears wasn't pleased about that.
My Gunwind I wear about town as it's yellow !

I'd buy another Simpson in a heartbeat except weighs a ton and now need as light as lid as possible .

  14. I have a Suomy Apex. They size up a little small but you can buy the interiors seperately on e-bay to adjust the fit slightly. It's also rare to find pinlock visors so I have done 3 DIY ones and they work perfectly well. I would buy another one although my Shoei XR1100 is probably more comfortable and slightly quieter. In terms of design I have just had my Shoei re-painted similar to the Jeff Koons BMW GT3 Art car. Not for everyone but the high contrast stripes are very visable... of marginal help in London traffic when you are surrounded by the unobservant...https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=BMW+gt3+jeff+koons&tbm=isch&imgil=RuTQQ7AhqouNDM%253A%253Bhttps%253A%252F%252Fencrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com%252Fimages%253Fq%253Dtbn%253AANd9GcRMHrJ3-UR62l14Kp3iswhEpj88EInU0IUdLIuotgB_8cdA9BJM%253B1100%253B649%253BufyJF0QDQLg1UM%253Bhttp%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.cartype.com%25252Fpages%25252F4565%25252Fbmw_art_car_by_jeff_koons&source=iu&usg=__oKw9kSNAzdwj4lUkIuwuCWSnFvo%3D&sa=X&ei=ycDrUqblE8rH7AbL_oCwCg&ved=0CD4Q9QEwAw&biw=1280&bih=968#facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=RuTQQ7AhqouNDM%253A%3BufyJF0QDQLg1UM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.cartype.com%252Fpics%252F7891%252Ffull%252Fkoons_art-car_02.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.cartype.com%252Fpages%252F4565%252Fbmw_art_car_by_jeff_koons%3B1100%3B649

  15. I have a Spec 1R. Previously had an Arai, that felt like my chin was hanging out of the bottom.

Can't fault the Suomy at all, incredibly comfortable, build quality is good (had it about 4 yrs) and great design.

Now just need to find a good visor for it, as my iridium one has all peeled.
