Quick shifter

  1. Does anyone know which one's the best to get and how much should be paid for it, including labour?

  2. I have the ducati one fitted to my 848evo.

    HM might be better thou?

  3. Someone was selling a HM one on here. It may well work on yours

  4. I had a HM straingauge shifter on my Streetfighter and it was superb but does take quite a bit of setting up properly to get it right. The HM ones connect via a Power Commander 5 so it's all a bit convoluted. There are two main types, ones that work on ignition retardation and the others cut fuel to the cylinders while the shift is being made. Personally the first one works better as the fuel cut option is ok but can be a bit hit and miss.

Don't get the Power Commander shifters, all I've heard is bad things about them.

  5. No they don't. The HM QS+ (current version) is a plug and play solution that does not require a PC.

HM is definitely the way to go. Reliable and performant. I have an HM integrated QS lever for sale in the Parts section.

  6. I need one for an MTS, but according to my Ducati dealer, you can't get a quick shifter for it at all. Anyone know any better?

  7. You can get, hm will work.

  8. Most Ducati dealers will only be able to advise on official Ducati accessories/parts... That being said, however, it might be worth giving JHP a call given their knowledge of all things Ducati and modifications.

    HM should work fine.

  9. Do you know this for a fact because Harrisons, one of the HM suppliers, said he can't fit them onto an MTS. HM themselves said that if I go down there they'll try and if it's not compatible they won't charge me

  10. Preffered choice by race teams on 1098

  11. Thanks so much - do you know which model in particular would be the correct one to get for the MTS?

  12. so apparently the linkage on all the quick shifters - both Translogic and HM - are too short for the MTS. Substantial modification is needed, so probably not worth it...
