so i did the best job i could on the carbon ducts its not amazing but for the time being it will do. very happy with the look though
Not to spoil your party but carbon clutch covers are not the best idea. If the bike falls on that side even at low speed, it will wreck the clutch. Otherwise for £200 the bike looks a steal
iv been thinking about this and the next purchase is going to be a set of crash protectors for it i like the ones that you dont have to brill the fairings for and im thinking of getting them powder coated in the same red as the frame so they blend in a bit better
So iv been working my magic on ebay and found my self some tasty bits of bling To start with i got a carbon front end from the US for £60 and had to pay £22 import tax but still a bargin. there is minor damage but it will get sprayed red with just the vents and a line round the white number board showing the carbon. Next was a red DP clutch plate in perfect condition to the tune of £20 and finally a carbon belly pan for £110 posted. pictures of it all fitted will be up when i get round to doing it
belly pan and dp clutch plate fitted just got to wait for new springs collars and bolts to turn up for the clutch
I concur with a previous poster about carbon clutch covers. May as well just use a crisp packet. Do someone like R&G do a nylon one? Hmmm google methinks
the thought i had was to take a std clutch cover and dremel it out so you can still see the clutch spinning up but have the protection of the cast if it does go down
a really like this model!! i have it on fridge magnets i love motors if i will have more time i will make fridge magnets with other models i like.
so its been a few months since i last attacked the bike with some tools but in that time iv got my self a nice little collection of parts to go on. They are all still on the ebay 1098 basis and iv got myself some right bargains. so these look rather miserable these dont and for £40 im really happy Iv also got my hands on a set of supersprox sprockets for £16 they are virtually brand new renthal clip ons £40 front pads £35 Samco hoses £50 and my best purchase a set of the old style termi's one of the cans is buggered but £160 for a new sleeve and the fact the down pipes are in better nick than my ones means a decent system for a total of £280 so all in all a good haul over the xmas / new year period
