BTW, I have over 10k on mine now. The only thing that needs doing is a new dash under warranty Other than that, no issues at all.
Lot of controversy around this new GS, enough for me never to buy one, ever. I'll stick with my bombproof and perfect handling 1200 Super Tenere tks.
multi beaky is ugly like a pug but you love them anyway ... gs and multi not a lot of difference in looks ..but i would save my money and buy the new suzuki Vstrom and use the 8 grand i saved on coke and hookers
The coke thing I can get. Indeed I have checked with Asda and they would sell you 1600 standard cans for such a bulk purchase. The hooker thing is less than straightforward. The cheapest I can find plays for London Irish third 11 and you would need to find another 5k for them to even discuss a possible deal.
I'm still far from happy with my 2013 MTS in particular with the poor low speed fuelling which makes it a pig to ride in slow moving town traffic. However it is a great tool for going fast but if I can sell it (see classified adds) I will go back to a water cooled GS even if it has now got a steering damper.
Very pleased with my Multi  5000 miles plus now. I wouldn`t touch a GS with a barge pole though. As an alternative I`d have a Triumph Explorer and buy British instead
Eh up triple ma boy. Can I just say that's bloody fantastic. Shows me theres so much more to do on mine. Well done sir.
Have you ridden the Explorer? I would advise doing so before buying one. You will find it leaden and lacking in performance compared the the MTS. I rode it and a GS over long distances and thought long and hard before shelling out for the Ducati. Best decision I ever made. Now I can't wait to upgrade to a Pikes Peak! These bikes are among the best ever made in my opinion and I've been riding for over 40 years, have owned Hondas, Yamahas, Triumphs and a Laverda and also ridden Suzukis, BMWs, Moto Guzzis and Kawasakis.
Not surprised. The old Trophy was a bit of a dog! Hardly comparing like for like. I just hope your mate never rides an MTS - he would probably explode with happiness.
Don't be a stranger round these parts.......looking forward to more comparisons with the Mutley and updates on how the Beemer holds together!
Thank you very much. It's as near to being finished as I can get it but am sure a couple of extras will find their way onto it this year
I agree, it's just "fit for purpose" I can't ever see an owner turning around and having one last look at it as they walk away from the bike.
or no competition. The Mutley takes it. The beemer is dull, uninteresting, efficient and Teutonic. Give me Latin flair over Teutonic efficiency any day of the week.
