Is there a better concert than AC/DC at donnington ? I was 22 long time ago. Seen them loads of times but a probably the best concert ever. ( yes I know it wasn't bon).
seen lots, queen several times allot of the big rock bands. always manage to get to the front. hard to say Michal jackson for the stage show, queen cos i was a big fan, recently reef. mumford live are far superior than recorded. i enjoyed acdc at wembly arena 86 i think but was seated.
I love going to see live music. From big names to people you've never heard of. Live music rocks! If you get the chance go and see these guys......
One of my faves is The Who - Live at the Isle of Wight on DVD. Another good live gig on DVD is The Chemical Brothers called Dont Think, live in Japan I think. I'm with you ET. I love live music. There are so many live DVD's to mention. Theres some good Cream ones too and I love one by Seasick Steve but cant remember what it was called. My favourite gigs that I went to were Orbital Glasto 96, The Prodigy Brixton Academy cant remeber date, Bjork at Brixton, Radiohead main stage at Glasto, QOTSA at Brixton and Edwin Starr at numerous venues....oh theres so many...
I'm a huge Stranglers fan, so any one of their gigs is awesome to me! I have to say though, that I took the Mrs to see Robbie Williams at Knebworth, and it was amazing! I wasn't a fan, but was very impressed with him and his ability to entertain 120,000 people.
I'm 61 this year but me and my lady go to a local music venue most weekends. I enjoy the young bands doing their own material most rather than rock cover bands. Living in Brentwood makes London easy by train and we get to Shepherds Bush Empire, Brixton Academy and O2 regularly and Southend Cliffs Pavilion had some good gigs last year(Elvis Costello was Brill). Got tix for Arcade Fire at Earls Court in June, that will be a cracker and Beyoncé in March should be entertaining.
King Kurt at the Klub Foot (aka Clarendon Hotel). Memorable moment was the wheel of puke. Where a member of audience was strapped to a wheel, a funnel and pipe fed him copious amounts of alcohol for a while. Then it was spun. And spun, and spun...you can use your own imagination what happens next.
I reckon it was '81. Might have been '82. I was there too. That concert wasn't as good, though, as the ones they played in Lausanne in '89 and perhaps '92, but they were open air in what laughingly passes as a stadium in Lausanne - think 3rd division football ground.
It was the later ones Glid, likely circa 2000. When Pulse was made. I was only 16 in 81. Into The Jam, The Specials etc at that point. Best live Floyd DVD is 'Live at Pompeii' in fact I'm gonna watch that again tonight. I love that. Oh, the recent Specials re-union gig at Brixton was awesome too.
those were the days Pink Floyd - Earls Court London 1994 "PULSE" Concert - YouTube still makes me tingle - that's this afternoons entertainment sorted
any one ever see big George and the business. small time success but but big time performance. Glasgow band.
