I came along after the old forum had closed and had only ever heard it mentioned in threads. Sometimes a guide or some such is mentioned that was available but now is not. Using the wayback machine you can go fetch the thing that is missing and bring it here I've been browsing for the last half an hour.... Ducbird it appears you had nothing to do in 2007 too...
There is a guide to swapping fork bottoms though, which I was asking for the other day. I only mention it as a reference tool

Hey Fig, couldn't have been all bad...... Without ducatisti no one would have met "Ducbird", I personally wouldn't have discovered all the wierd and wonderful people on the rideouts and I would still have a GSXR.
Hahaha! I remember I swore in one of my messages on a Ducatisti thread once and got a private message advising me not to! I did like the site though - it was rich with information! This site is great, it's also a rich source and full of (probably the same people) willing to advise and share. Obviously, as this site has only been open a short while, its historical source of threads is still growing. But I do like the general feeling of a more laid back and relaxed environment which allows one to be as rude and irreverent as one desires!:wink:
I sincerely hope this place is better to newbies than ducatisti. That place was full of self-centred twats who were downright rude to anyone with less than a million posts. If you weren't in the clique it just wasn't worth posting, so I didn't (apart from issuing death threats by pm:wink.
I had the occasional 'discussion' with one or two supercilious pompous gits who seemed to view themselves as self appointed newbie basher. Unnecessary. overall it was a reasonable site. bemused the way it sank, hope Dan is ok. Shame the final comms( or lack of....) clouded the way he exited. .
A private is alone on sentry duty. His phone rings and a pompous voice asks, "Many cars in the officer's car park?" I was not a member of the "old" site. Had a Duc since 2012. Best thing I ever did. I have no problem with anyone on this site. I think it is well structured and moderated, and anyone who disagrees with me can fuck off.
