Streetfighter 848 handle bar change

Discussion in 'Streetfighter' started by Beeds, Jul 7, 2013.

  1. Just bought my new 848 streetfighter and want to change the bars any suggestions which are the best to go for ?

  2. Rizoma on mine. Much better

  3. Mine is in for a service next week and probably getting the MA008 Rizoma fitted.

  4. Can't decide on MA008's or 005's!

OP do you want it more aggressive (doubt it) or more relaxed?

  5. Hi Count

did you get the MA008's fitted?
if so any pics at all mate cheers.

  6. Handlebar change and some warranty fixes on Saturday.

  7. Thinking of changing the bars on my 1098. Already have new adjustable footpegs on the way as I found the standard ones very short. How are you finding the new bars and what did you go for?

  8. Hi all, I ordered the MA008 bars today and Puig screen.

Hopefully this will turn the bike into an even better bike for cruising/messing about on!

  9. Let us know how you find them compared to the standard bars!

  10. Standard Ducati Bars

    Shinny new Rizoma Bars

The Rizoma bars have just made the riding position a bit more comfortable.

You can see how the Ducati ones bend down as opposed to the Rizoma stay flat therefore less bent over.

  12. Did you have to change any of the cables, brake line, etc? Was thinking of this mod for my SF848.Ta.

  13. Not ridden it yet but it is definitely more comfortable.

Amazing what a about 20mm can do!

  14. Hi Mervyn, didn't have to change a thing. Just drill the holes for the throttle and other controls and your away.

  15. If anyone wants the Rizoma bars, my bike is being traded in and the bars will be reverted to standard so I have a set for sale (along with a load of other things).

  16. What are the 'other' things?

Can't help myself for a shiny accessory!

  17. Other things:

Tail tidy, rad guards, ASV levers, Termis !!!, DP seat, rear cowl, Rizoma fluid pots, R&G crash protection, Oberon clutch cylinder, LED lights from Rizoma,

  18. Plus a DP steering damper and DP quickshifter

  19. The seat cowl is red by the way. Armorfended so in perfect condition.

  20. Thats a tidy amount of extras. Is that a special ducati seat? Does that mean it is more comfortable? If so how much is that? Might also be interested in the quickshifter assuming its for a 1098 SF?
