Her first outing with me on the bike involved hitting a green Fiat on My YPVS. Surprisingly, 24 years later she still tolerates my bike antics, even encourages it but hasn't been on one since. If she did ride one she likes red ones best which is convenient . OGR
Char , the question all depends if your faster than him on your "Girl's bike". You could always play you ace card and ask to borrowthe 1098.
Then there are a hell of a lot of "girls" out there including all the riders in the 848 challenge . IMO there's no such thing as a girls bike today, just some that are fun and some that are not. Andy
My wife was all set to do her cbt right up to the point when i inserted my first bike into a 307 with her on the pillion, funnily enough she went right off the idea afterwards...
That's definitely beyond the call of duty and very selfless. Unfortunately probably all too common . Andy
the wifes a very good pillion, no fear. it wasnt that unusual for her to be on the back of a trickd up 1200bandit doing wheelies up and down the old kent road when she lived in London
I've had a bike licence for 16 1/2 years, my other half only got his 4 1/2 years ago. I got him into bikes, rather than the reverse. His main bike these days is a Kawasaki Z1000SX, but he picked up a low mileage 695 Monster at the end of last summer, for shorter trips and livening up the commute, saying that he can't help but smile riding the noisy little red bike. (The 695 also means he's not always banished to the naughty corner of the car park at UKMOC events). We both test rode a Diavel last year, which I loved, but he didn't fall for it enough to want to spend the money on it as a joint purchase, and he got the 695 instead.
Here is a photo of me and my other half at the Goose neck at last years TT. Im on the GSXR in the background.
I usually 'come' first  It was her first year on her bike but she had great fun though and we are going this year too, although I will be taking the 899 this time
Thanks Andy, im sure we will and the dogs as we take them with us too. No probs about being rude as long as its in good taste.
Monster S2r and Triumph America. She has been riding 33 years. (I only passed my test in 1985). Not too hot with the maintenance although she does know how to wash them.
