  6. Yep I will hopefully ride it from April to September. Then it'll be inside through the winter months.

  7. bad mouths say that Ducati counts on that fact to come up with that warranty scheme on an engine that is pushed to that level... :)

  8. I will look forward to the flithy pictures and videos with great pleasure, wear well :upyeah:

  11. Kope, you have more riding talent in your little finger than I have in my whole body. However, I'm going to ride the bitch as hard as I can. She's being made to be ridden not sit in a garage !

  12. Flyer, let s go together then... and hold on to your braces... you're in for something ultraspecial... :)

  13. Anyone else seen the 'S' painted to look look like a 'Superleggera' at On Yer Bike Aylesbury??

Very classy, and certainly wont p**s off those whove just spent £54k on the real thing from the same dealership.

    great work lads.

  14. Along the way many people will paint a standard Panigale to look like something its not. Look at the different Ducati's that are painted to look like a Desmosedici over the last 6 years. At 1st I was undecided whether I'd be happy about it. Then I realised I couldn't do anything about it anyway, so why be bothered. I walked into my dealer the other day and looked at an 1199R with 3 miles and unregistered too. I really liked it and joked with my mate that it was just a Panigale R, He saw I was just taking the pi55 and fell about laughing.

An 1199 Panigale 'Super Leggera' will be just that. People who know there 'eggs from their Chickens' will know the difference between a painted Panigale sold by Aylesbury and an 1199 SL. Not only will a painted standard Panigale loose money once its registered but it won't stop trying to be something it was painted to be. The nearest to an SL will be Kope999R's 1199R, now that is some peace of work and a credit to him and those who have helped him achieve it. The thread on what he's done is awesome. :upyeah:

An SL is a different beast to a Desmosedici (I do admire these more often nowadays), but the maintenance bill frightens the life out of me. Hence why I chose the 1199SL instead.

Oh and by the way my dealer offered me a hefty Profit/ Premium if I decided to sell my ordered SL. can't be bad now can it. Already a profit and they're just starting to put them on the production line in Bologna.

    Happy Days!!! :upyeah:

  15. I'd still rather have a Desmo, and you can buy one for around 35k, so the extra up to a SL could stay in the bank just in case, after all it may never happen, I've rode the 1199R and tbh I'd rather have my old 1098R back! I have also rode the Desmo a few times and it's something special, Ducati can keep the SL as IMO the chassis is flawed, I have my eye on a D 16RR as IMO it's a far better package on the road and track, and NOTHING will upstage a Desmo not even a SL. IMO.

  16. Wonder what it would cost to buy one of Rapidos old Panigale race bikes??

  17. Andyd, a Desmo will always be a Desmo. No doubt about it. I still have my 1098R and its the best thing since sliced bread. If the SL wasn't produced I would most probably have bought a Desmo.

  18. I'd heard of 'premiums' on new cars - but on a £54k bike, wonder what sort of profit you'd get for 'flipping' it, £5/6k?

  19. I don't know but have heard 1 or 2 selling there deposits on SL's for premium profit. Personally not interested, so didn't take it any further.
