vibration white finger

  1. Does anyone else on here suffer from vibration white finger caused by the use of vibrating and pneumatic tools.
    Even with the heated grips full on, the end of my finger goes white and numb only on my right hand and one finger. Just picking something up cold can set it off. Can last for ages and I lose the feeling in it too.
    It's all the years using impact tools and no know cure. Does my head in riding the bike in cold weather.

  3. ive got it nothing you can do, gives you an excuse when you high side just say you couldn't feel the throttle :tongue:

  4. I got it from jack hammers in my 20's. still get it to this day on the bike sometimes.

  7. My hands can go numb after a while too. I think I just grip too tightly. ....now there i was describing a genuine ailment when I read it back...delete?...

  11. Cheers for that. I also suffer from dupuytren's contracture on my left hand. Little finger is fucked (had it fused) and the next one is on its way.

    The riding position of my 916/1198 doesn't help one bit but I'm damned if I care.

  13. I used to smoke but packed in over a year ago. I get a good medical check out with job and have got good blood pressure and lung function. Circulation in my left hand is fine just one finger mainly. Hope it doesn't get worse.

  14. I only really get it when its wet and cold and my hands are soaked. Plus as its shitty conditions I am tense on the bike. Thus I grip too hard. Not a problem anymore as this past couple of years Ive decided fuck it. Spring - Autumn dry only. I don't enjoy riding in the wet. I cope fine with cold but not both.
