I always like to keep Mrs Mervyn informed of my days activities.I mentioned to her this evening that I had done some tidying in the garage and made some space for the arrival this week of my recently bought bike. Mrs Mervyn then says 'so you will have three old Brit bikes and two Ducatis'.Yes,that's right I say. Her reply is 'Five bikes is an odd number, they will gang up in pairs, you will have to get another one'. Oh dear-must not look at more bikes,I can hardly ride the ones I have at the moment. However I do appreciate a fine machine and get a great deal of enjoyment when I can get one out for a spin.
I'll sell you one of mine if you wish. How about aChinese 125, one careful owner (gawd knows how many before me though), third engine, bald back tyre? Lots of spares - namely two engines, albeit one in a carrier bag and a head with the valves welded in???
I couldn't be dishonest and take such a fast appreciating asset off your hands.I would tuck it away somewhere warm and dry, then sell when the price is right.
Mervyn be careful, I once thought two bikes would be plenty enough to have. Now I have a total of 8 ( stupid I know ). I have also promised myself to stop looking at bikes as if you don't look then you can't buy but it's never easy with summer just around the corner.
I like your style Speedy.Something I should aim for.I will have to tell Mrs Mervyn that I am a lightweight in the bike collection stakes.
Pre unit with slick shift gearbox.this one is Slimline, makes it easier for me to mount and ride.Lots of nice bits with the engine, chronos.comp mag,Akronts, etc. Will post up pics if you are interested.
Mrs. Mervyn has issued wise and profound advice that would be churlish to ignore. I lurve her too, where can I get one?
The normal female logic would be that if there has to be an even number, then one must go. The "you need another one" thought is most unusual. I agree with the other posts on here, you clearly have an exceptional other half...
