Then don't replace it - just throw the old one away and blank off the hole ..... waste of bloody time, they are....... On thread: Went to see a mate who lives 20 miles away - good excuse for a ride on the bike, really - only to find out when I got there that he'd had the same idea and was at my house !!!
Waited 4 n a half hours for the RAC to collect this shitroen car. Well.....I asked them for a recovery at 7.20. RAC man came at 8.10 took my details and went at 8.20. Call got passed to contractor at 10.23 and they turned up just before 12. I'll be in a great mood to speak to the dealership this afty
I know, it's just not ment to be. This is the third in 14 month. Each one with £1000's spent in repairs, I loose faith in it sell it n the cycle starts again with the next one.
I wanted to post this here because I'm sure none of us have done anything better today than this hero http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...carries-torch-home-town-emotional-scenes.html
Got this evotech tail tidy for my wife's monster 796 today. So will be fitting it tonight after work.
Don't be depressed BaggaZee! As I say, this is 70 miles from me. My immediate vicinity is less mountainous - looks like this:
You're right, that looks rubbish. Just feeling a bit hemmed in by the city at the moment. A holiday will sort it out!
I felt hemmed in by the city. That's why I decided to live in the country (and maybe go for holidays in the city. And maybe not.)
I would have only the valve sheered right off so the Audi mechanic I know said he cant do the block off mod without it in one piece.he said the only problem with blocking my model A4 (BRB) engine is the turbo carbons up real fast then jams the VNT causing more problerms. He charged me £30 labour for removing and fitting the EGR as well as running a full diagnostic so was cheaper than bringing it to his workplace, god knows what they would charge.
+1 "Exhaust gas Recirculating valve", links your exhaust manifold to your inlet manifold - under certain conditions it will open to allow burnt exhaust gases back into your engine to improve emissions under say - coasting on a closed throttle... This to me is bollocks & makes having an exhaust stroke pointless if you are going to let that nasty sooty crap back into your engine?? :frown: My EGR is on holiday - have blanked off the hole & relocated the solenoid & shuttle to do its thing somewhere else (if the EGR is unplugged the ECU will freak out) The ECU is happy the EGR is still connected and working happily, Im happy that my engine is no longer being forced to eat its own shit. Better cetane rating, also sharper throttle response going from closed to open throttle - does not have to clear its lungs first...
Tidied shed (was going for a ride but it started summer sunshine again)then started on garage, I want to know where all the empty bear cans came from.
