  1. Very nice!... Bet you are very proud!... :upyeah:

  2. Yes,I am very pleased with my purchase.I have a massive build file that came with the bike and the spec is very good.I am very lucky to have it.The guy that sold it to me was quite upset when he handed it over-but he was relieved it had gone to a fellow enthusiast.:upyeah:

  3. You have too much taste and style for my liking Mr Mervyn. Cant you buy even one crap pikey Jap. bike in order to show some human failings?

  12. Yes they do vibrate quite a bit and give you numb hands.worth it for the smile factor-but I couldn't do long distance on one. Some hardy souls do ride their Tritons a fair few miles though. My hat goes off to them. This one has a very nice rebuilt engine which was balanced on assembly.I am hoping for a pleasant ride when I get to take it out.:upyeah:

  13. Do you get to keep the Norton isolastic mounts when you fit the Triumph donk ( or is that the whole point of the exercise ? ) . I read a while ago about some bloke ( Irving) and some other bloke ( Kernick ?) who built a Triumph engine with the crank pins phased at 76 deg , and claimed all sorts of benefits ( well you would after all that cocking about )

  14. The Triumph engine is mounted directly to the Norton wideline/slimline frame using alloy mounting plates and is therefore a rigid connection. If the engine is a good 650 the amount of vibration is not to bad.If you convert to a 750,engine balancing is recommended.
A lot of owners reckon the 650 is the nicer version.Thank you for info about the 76 deg phasing,I will do some searching, sounds interesting.

  15. Wheres the tax disc?

  16. Tax disc holder shown in pic no 2.will get disc when I get myself down to the Post Office.

  17. It is gorgeous.. Will consider something like that meself... Wonder how difficult they are to build?...

  18. They are not to difficult to build the Triumph engine is pretty basic.and there are lots of parts available.Lots of expertise as well.
Norton Featherbed frames with logbook are expensive, along with the alloy tanks ,instruments wire wheels and hubs.
Far cheaper to buy one already assembled and then modify it your particular taste.
Good luck if you decide to build/get one.
I do have a 1971 Triton which I will be selling in the Summer.Pm me if this might be of interest to you?
