  2. washed all three bikes in between showers.

  3. eventually summoned the enthusiasm to start gixer, which it did, and mostly fitted race seat. wood, screws, bits of ally strip and a few nuts n bots later and its 80% there, just a bracket to make to hold front steadily in place. Note to self, next time you order off ebay and description says k6, and its a k7 seat, send the fucker back and demand a refund!

  4. I have magnolia paint where my hair used to be...:frown:

  7. Garlic and butter
    Not suitable for Muslims
    Chicken in bacon

  8. Took the exhaust off the CBR. Not ideal, broke three exhaust studs, however all have broken with 20 - 25mm protruding and they all go into protruding bosses on the head so some judiciously applied flame and a stud extractor should do the trick when the engine is on the bench.

  9. Put some rear indicators on my SS project, first thing I have done to it in nearly a month:

  12. Been on Ebay - Bought a battery in readiness of Headlight HID transformation return from Hump333, mailed the people making me some exhaust hanger's a thank you (they are sending me them for free cos I sent them mine to copy) so a pair for £8.12 postage I am happy with that.

Only some rear pads, a service at GTEC, new chain and sprockets, two fibreglass body panels, a spray job and I may get to ride it..... why did I start this.

  13. Been worrying. There's been trucks running up and down our road all night, pumping water out of the drains then driving off, presumably to dump it in the Thames, which is at least flowing away from the town. The local school a hundred yards up the road is flooded, and the bloke who bought a house with an underground garage (!) 3 doors up hasn't seen his car in two months. I think it's only the trucks that have stopped me from having to bail out. Needless to say they're enjoying a cuppa and a bacon sarnie by way of thanks.

  15. All depends on the weather. If there's enough dry spells between the showers I reckon we'll get away with it. Getting fed up with it now though, I've been fretting over this for two months now.

  16. This morning is just right for a comedy sketch in the Mervyn household.Poor Mrs Mervyn is having hearing problems, and I am having concentration and speech problems due to my new meds.
We have decided the best thing to do is sit quietly and read the Sunday papers.I am banned from ranting though.
