I have an 09 1100s and am surprised to see some of the engine paint is starting to come off the front cylinder head. Is this normal for the paint to deteriorate so soon? What are my options?
I'm afraid its normal, I had it on my hyper and thats what I was told by the dealer. If you're still in warranty though you can get it sorted.......if you are persistant with them ;-) Otherwise your other option is to strip it and paint it or leave it as is
I'm afraid he's right. I've had three other air cooled Ducs, and they all had this issue. I bought touch up paint from RS paints, and it did a quite good job, although don't expect it to be a permanent solution. That would mean engine out, masked up, blasted then repainted. ATB
I have that problem on my 2013 M696 and they won't cover it with the warranty! Think I'm going to repaint
