  2. Making curtains, full. Job with lining and interlining, just having a tea break then it's the final push to finish. Then I have to bake my birthday cake cos, bizarrely mine never just materialises complete with candles like the rest of the families.

  3. Melvin's outside moving heavies for the base of a new shed, I've lost count of the number of sheds we have, all and everyone absolutely necessary... I'm told

  4. A man of good sense there I think.Can't have enough sheds.

  5. Arthur Mervyn "Two Sheds" Jackson.

  6. To be fair it is replacing a shed that had rotted away but was a wedding present so fairly ancient. But we gained a shed last year so this is more storage, I think it's going to filled with wood

  7. heres the one(s) i ate for my birthday...

  8. Someone has stolen my sandbags from the front of my house. Can you believe that?

Tonight fig is very, very angry. The person that half-inched them is going to suffer. If they'd asked I'd have happily given them away.

  9. Very impressive, mine will be fashioned to look like a Victoria sponge sandwich with chocolate butter icing if it goes well.
candles now pose a fire hazard, I tend to go for a single church candle instead!!

  10. Simple. Just get yourself an asbestos suit and enjoy the candles as before.

  11. Sitting in a cabin, listening to the howling wind. We have had all our road closures cancelled by the HA so we can't get the cranes it to drop the new beams into position on the bridge. the weather was perfect last night too.

  12. Went to the bike show, chatted up Melanie Sykes, told that round the world bloke to tidy himself up, the scruffy get, tried a few bikes out for size, letched at a few dorises and had a few pints. Came home to find my house still ain't flooded, but the army are parked outside...

  13. Good to hear your sandbag theft is being taken seriously

Power has been on and off since three and the pig pond down the road has burst over the road

  14. You sure they didnt get washed away...

Bristol for me, A34 and M4 were a challenge with the wind and the rain. Although I am a Merc driver now, I'm ex Bimmer so no problem for me 90 down the outside lane ;-)

  15. Had some quality time with Mrs mervyn making a loaf of bread. P1010080.jpg

  20. Nothing worse than someone who makes their own bread, they can't seem to stop eulogising about it, it's just bread!
