Well I have to say I wasn't particularly that bothered about Mike and the Mechanics before I went as they aren't my normal cup of tea........but I have to say they were fantastic! Played lots of stuff I knew (and before I went I thought I only knew "The Living Years") including some Genesis stuff and they really rocked the house. Great gig! Glad I went now!
Paul Carrick left years ago. The current line up is Mike Rutherford, Tim Howar, Andrew Roachford, Anthony Drennan, Luke Juby and Garry Wallis. Howar and Roachford share the lead singing. And Andrew Roachford is THE Roachford who sang "Cuddly Toy" cos they played that too.
well me and the wife had a fair quiet night in no stupid valentines day mush as for march 14 ..........interesting .......will be going to see steel panther live on that date so maybe combine the two lol
Took my girlie to Dorset square hotel has a suite, then lunch and shopping, billy Elliot, drinky poohs, cocktails then breakfast in bed then more shopping. Only spoilt by hestons dinner cancelling ( this was on the 08/02) and train laying on coach travel as they couldn't complete the journey. with her new Mac Pro cost me twice what my 900 is worth
Well we went for our "love brunch" yesterday. It was lush and worth every penny of the £25 each. The food was fresh, well cooked and well presnted. A bit like nouvelle cuisine but proper portions! And the steak melted in your mouth. Wonderful service too. Highly recommended, and brownie points in credit too :wink:
This year being our 20th together (everyone of them bliss, just in case Mrs. Flyer reads this) we don't do sod all. At the end of the day, it's just a big con, dreamt up by card manufacturers and loved by florists and restaurants the world over. What we do, though, if we see something we think the other would like, we buy it. It doesn't have to be a special occasion. Mrs. Flyer, is easy to please and prefers the simple things in life (which is why she married me). I, on the other hand, am more difficult to please. She does know my passion for bikes and will quite often come home with a book about Ducati or a DVD. She's a good 'un really.
Don't even go there sometimes the woman is left with f all. Twice now just been screwed over myself and want out of a mortgage on a house I left 6 years ago hAd enough of it all . Started yet again from scratch. First time round I became anti marriage everything .... 2nd time round ... Not married but lived together for 13 years. Have been trying to cut financial ties for 6 years... Had it right now . 2 great sons out if it . But really cocked up wasted too long. However ... If I did find the right man would I get married again ? Yes. I've learnt second time round never take out your exs crap on a new BF .. Don't compare them or give them a shit time because the last idiot gave you a rough ride. Learn and try and move on and let go of all the crap. As for Valentines day .. I've never had a romantic partner . I got my fav flowers once then a lecture on how much they cost , and how it was a total waste of money. I just wanted to give them back was made to feel so crap. I actually have kept my first card. My first BF made me at secondary school. He lettraset the message and waited for me to come out of PE I still have it and the record he got me . So I guess I'm soppy at heart . Life's so short and unpredictable .. It's sad to wait for one day to show how you feel . Make sure you tell them everyday you love them or do something nice . I know blokes don't like fuss .. But secretly you must like being told your loved or praised or told you look good ? Do it everyday as you never know what day is your last . Myself I am coming close to being a crazy cat lady I don't even want pet cats !!!
I've been single now for 6 years. I've been asked out lots but not been interested. Met one nice bloke but was too scared at the time to take a risk. Left it too late in the end . On V day I asked someone out and he shot me down in flames He knows me that's the trouble I'm not girlie enough lol
