Inside the nosecone on the left where the side panel meets. A small triangular piece of carbon ain't there no more. :frown: I only went out for an hour. Does anyone know where I can get another one from, or what it's called ?
Leigh on Sea, Southend, Rochford, Chelmsford. Have a look for my numberplate as well. I lost that about 6 weeks ago.
I 'think' I still have one of those from my (crashed) carbon 749r? - I'll check the garage and get back to you with some photos if I find it.
I've got one of those too! Snapped off the inside of my front fairing when I binned the bike on the A40 in 2007!
That's them. Please can I have one, left side. Happy to pay postage and a bottle of your favourite.
Its snapped off! Its not just a case of slipping it back in, you'd have to have it bonded back in place. I've seen them break before when people force the carbon side fairings into the front fairing
@ Clueless - it may be worth taking your RH fairing off to see what's involved in replacing the fillet, and how much has broken off from the piece in my photo? On the plus side, when I got a quote to repair my bike (beyond economical repair :frown, they could still get new carbon bits from Ducati if all else fails.
The whole piece is missing so I guess it was loose before I owned it. The right side looks like it's glued/welded on. It doesn't seem to be anything more than a cosmetic infill !
Aaah I always wondered about those. Didn't realise they are a separate piece. The bonding is fairly obvious on one of my nosecones and I thought the previous owner may have bodged it. Oh and for the OP I don't have one sorry.
I can take a picture of my fairings, I'm sure they are bonded on... they were available to order I think as a part....
Ducati dealer might be able to help you out:biggrin:... I saw one forsale on ebay, listed forsale and a part number... I could be wrong of course or the seller might have posted the part number for the panel or the winglet by mistake... But I do remember seeing a part number.
