Monsters engine the same?

  1. I am looking a spare engine for my '99 750ie. I have found an '02 ie monster engine, are these essentialy the same?

  2. A few of the DD guys have SS motors in monsters so can't see why no, altho not sure if the swing arm mount is different

  4. I might have a punt then. I was wondering about comp ratios and cams. No point putting a lower power engine in the bike.

  5. Should be about the same, parts are interchangeable in the main, I race a 620 monster and pre tuning is the same as the SS models

  6. Many thanks. It is cheap enough to part out if it is no good.

    I fancy a spare to lob in the bike while I paint up the cases and barrels on mine

  8. It would be cheaper to sell the 750 and buy a 900 in that case.
