Slippy Footpegs

  1. To my mind they are just too cheap. Wouldn't trust em myself. Something would surely break when you least want it.

  2. But they are only foot pegs not exactly a highly stressed component.

  3. It would stress me if the gear lever dropped off or fractured going into a corner at speed or a foot peg broke.

  4. I think footpegs are very highly stressed especially if you take it on track , you put loads of weight through your feet on them

  5. They look a bit like they've been made out of meccano. I think the saying 'you get what you pay for' May apply here.

  6. Being 6ft4 I struggle like hell with the standard rear sets. I can't get comfy and have to lift my foot up onto the brake pedal when braking which isn't good especially when something jumps out at you. I bought some GiaMoto rear sets who make them for Austin Racing and have to say are brilliant. They were expensive at £400 but still half the price of the DP rearsets and are very high quality and I have the confidence that they are not going to break or fall in bits.

  7. The chances of that happening are virtually non-existant. Ive never ever heard of that happening due to the materials used not being strong enough, or anyone so heavy that they managed to bend a foot brake or gear change lever.

  8. +1 on the Rizoma footpegs. Works of art and a doddle to fit.
