web site says she is on at 17:15, or a quarter past 5 in old money. In 25 mins from now, then. Now then, now then? Shurely shome mishtake.
You do have to admit that hurtling down an ice chute on a tea-tray at 80 mph with your nose a couple of inches off the ice does take some balls, or tits, or whatever. All highly inspiring stuff. Splendid. GB have their Gold! Meanwhile, Switzerland is only behind Germany in the medals table. Long may it continue (just love beating the Americans at anything really).
Congratulations to Lizzy Yarnold for winning Gold in the Winter Olympics. The expert coaching provided by David Beckham on how to ride the skeleton was invaluable.
^ what time? EDIT apparently seeding runs were 7 am with further knockout stages at 9.15 am, final set at 9.40 am on BBC2/Red Button
Skeleton isn't mostly about the start, it's all about the start. If we persuade more top class sprinters into it that would that. I think the whistler track was loads nicer than the Sochi one.
......and the medals are piling up now - that's another bronze for the girly curlers and the lads have one guaranteed for tomorrow. Maybe a half decent chance in the speed skating too. So far that's Scotland 2, rest of the UK 2. Salmond will be loving this.
And I'm sure he will be relishing the thought of funding these sports when Scotland go solo  ps it's still nowhere near as many medals as Yorkshire got in 2012
