Now there begs a thought. With the number of Multistrada 1200's sold in the UK it would be great for Ducati UK to stage such an event? The question is where how and could it ever happen?
Seeing as Pikes Peak is almost twice as high as Ben Nevis (1344m) above Colorado Springs (2400m) and 4300m above sea level I think you would be scratching to find a suitable venue.
You could have a valid point there  Putting altitude to one side ( no option ) i'am sure that the UK could stage an event which could provide testing conditions, this would probably restrict it to Scotland. ps If you have any spare bits of New Zealand then you could forward them on.
Good idea. Hillclimbing has been going on for 100 years and more, and there is a well-established championship. See the NHCA website: National Hill Climb Association Racing Page No doubt the NHCA would be delighted to hold a hillclimb over a very long, high altitude course - if one could be located, which would not be easy - for Multistradas or any other bikes.
The Swiss have a Superbike championship which takes places entirely outside Switzerland as there are no tracks here. Maybe this could set a precedent? Could have an entire British hill-climbing championship in the Alps. Just a thought!
