Well after a disastrous start to the day things took a turn for the better.I was looking at some bike porn on ebay trying to find a particular bike I saw for sale yesterday.Eventually I found it in the most obscure place.I told Mrs Mervyn about how fantastic this bike was.'Yes dear,I will have a look later'.I thought that was a good start This afternnon we played our genteel game of table tennis,I lost 2 games to 1.This evening we played cards,Oh us old folk know how to have fun.Mrs Mervyn massacred me at that as well. She then said 'what a disastrous day you have had, nothing gone your way,you had better get that bike you were on about'Needless to say I am now in shock and have decided I musn't take advantage, must I?
I am just about to email the seller. The bike is a take on a Triton,Featherbed frame, etc, etc. But with a 750 Triumph 3 cylinder engine. I will report back in due course.
She`ll be buying you a new house to store them all in next. Wish I had a new bike every time I lost a game of ping pong.
I am clearing the old shed at the moment, ready for demolition and replacement with a new workshop/summerhouse.I think that could be my new home this year.
Well I have had a reply from the seller-he is playing hardball with the price. He apparently has had loads of interest! This is his second time advertising it so I will leave it a bit longer before making him a sensible offer. It is a lovely bike, but I aint paying over the odds for it.I can always wait for the next 'must have' to come along.
Nice!... And there was I looking at a Panigale S today thinking how nice it would look in my garage, then thought about the grief I'll get... I'm taking up ping-pong!!
