  1. hope chaz and davide have a cracking race on sunday

  2. Guinters takes Pole on the RSV4 but Guiliano 2nd ahead of Melandri, only a tenth back... Woohoo!

Lowes in 5th behind Laverty. Davies / Sykes both crashed out?

Correction: Chaz completed his lap but had big moment late on which cost him...

  3. Uk rules ! .. :) sykes must be missing his special engine ..

  4. Chaz and canepa were on it and at the same point had the same moemnt. Something wring with the dicati?! Chaz seems to be struggling with gears earlier in the lap but was by far on his best lap. Then last turn....

  5. well after last year i wouldn't be high fiving just yet….lets see with the race as it was found out where it was at last year...

  6. Good so far

  7. All on the same spot.. Sykes blames a gust of wind... good idea to keep out cool.. :)
but it just smells completely different from last year... looks like they have their eye on the ball... That gobmeyer fella never had.
And all Alstare asked for, they never got... or too little too late...

  8. Last year Ducati was on pole with checka . Tom got two 5ths . Ducati were 10nth and 11nth . Chickens and eggs I doubt.

  9. I m not sure but i don t think checa was on the pace but for that well timed lap ..

  10. Hope not though . I just dont see any improvements from any class in Ducati .

  11. Very tight front group .. Gui holding up nicely at 4th, bodes well for a exciting 2014 WSBK season.. Times as compared to last year went down and the Pani kept pace.. best outcome in a race since very long... :)

  12. I'm really excited too about 4th….

  13. Cheer up Andy.
    Soon be dead.

As my PE master used to say.

  14. It was good to see the Ducatis in the mix. If that continues, I shall be looking at WSBK regularly.

The only downside was the French winning everything, as the French commentator on Eurosport - an annoying person at the best of times - went completely nuts and his voice rose by an octave, which was even more annoying than usual.

He also spent all the WSBK races interviewing French racers instead of commentating.

  15. Cant say I noticed - being in england lol

    Shame for laverty.
    A good opener overall

  16. Promising start for the Ducati team. Two good races I thought

  17. Did anyone else see the corner speed that guigliano was running in the middle of that last turn? It was like he was on a 250 2-stroke, and that was up against the rsv4!! deffo looks like it's handling well at that track, I agree though they have a lot to do when we get to tracks that are stop start in terms of getting acceleration out of the engine. The chassis is deffo 'sorted' though

  18. Davide was looking good for sure, top speed on the straight let him down. He was mixing it up for 2nd for quite a while, possibly the tyre wear also played its part on the panigale towards the end? Chas had a go at one point and looked promising in 4th but then suddenly dropped back down for some reason. Promising start for ducati, I think davide did well and shows what he can do if the top speed can be improved. As phill748 says, he had great corner speed and gained what he lost on the straight virtually straight away.

  19. Competitors were pulling in excess of 200 mph on the straights - that's not hanging around!

  20. The Panigale just wanted one tooth less on the rear sprocket for race two :upyeah:
