I owned a Ducati UK press bike for a while (749 bip). It was immaculate. Performance Bikes had it for a while and worse than that, Fast bikes hammered it through France.........it never missed a beat
I had a fantastic picture of my black 749 with a aprilia Tuono, taken in about 2007. It was on Performance bikes website but my computer was nicked and I'v never been able to find the image since.
Didn't ride any of the bikes, spectator only......reading Simon's article it looks like the Aprilia suspension is set for a more plush/touring type of ride, he did say it would be the one he'd choose for distance riding - whereas the Ducati setup gave more feedback/feel for sportier riding. Of course those comments don't take account of any change in riding mode (as far as I can remember without reading the article again). And tbh no surprise, just looking at the bikes and their stats - one's a comfortable sports bike you can tour on the other's a touring bike that is probably very good at errrr..........touring Could be, the thread title was a little tongue in cheek...........I bet they get a service between every 'hand-over' and quite likely more thorough than standard.
Ooops, maybe I've dropped a clanger! Used Ducati Multistrada 1200S GT 2013 Motorcycle For Sale in Southampton, 6242594 ....I had no idea that it is actually for sale
