  1. My first was at Donnington years back. Only ever done it once or twice on the road cause I behave myself!!... :upyeah:...

when and where was your knee virginity lost?

  2. Snetterton, bloody love that circuit.

  3. The occasional roundabout...the left exit from M25 onto M23/A23 into Croydon...the M25 to M3 right hand curve (London bound from clockwise M25)...few others but generally not on road. Unless in France.

  4. Tower Bend at Croft. Never repeated on the road. Don't have the technique.

  5. yup! Great circuit! Nearly every corner is knee down territory... Had a shite experience with brake fade on the Revvit Straight a couple of years ago though...

  6. Station Road, Perranporth, Cornwall. Swiftly followed by my leg, shoulder, leg and bike. I lost the back end of my Yammy SR125 back in 1990.

  7. If you've never been get yourself to Angelsey, that's got some corking cambers and great for knee down.

i also like my local Donington, I'm normally knee down as I wind it on through redgate before dropping down the curves , that's my favourite bit as I'm pretty fast through there (well I seem to be)

  9. Brands Hatch apart from the many times in my youth when I managed to get both knees down at the same time.........

  10. The A10 roundabout at Puckeridge, Herts in 1993 on my Fireblade. Vowed not to have sliders until I could do it so started off just scuffing my leathers then I ordered some stick on ones from Wiz. Made out of leather and they were great as you could park up straight afterwards and still have them smoking. Oh the joys of youth. Now it's normally the A10/414 roundabout but on the Multi it's normally the footpeg first, must hang off more.

  11. Never been knee down on the road though, I've been close in Germany on a few roads near the Nordschliefe but never quite felt right.

i guess it just feels like you have to try hard to do it on the road, other things to think about and all that.

on track it's 2nd nature but road it's just never been on my list

  13. Park Lane London going from Hyde PArk Corner to Speakers corner. You know the round-about then left, left and right.
Well on that day it was one big left then right ;)

  14. Must read what I've typed before posting, I must admit I normally do!

  15. TL1000R

coming up the A1034 to the market weighton roundabout onto the A1079 to Hull.

No other traffic about, deserted summer sunday evening years ago.

  16. Bretton roundabout. Never done it since.

  17. Haslam race school at silverstone a few years ago, the right handerr at the start of the arena loop.

I have done it a few times on the road, mucking around on a roundabout in a deserted industrial estate with a few mates but never while 'normal' riding

  18. Every corner is knee down.

Mallory 2011 and almost every time on track since. Sliders worn out in a day starts getting expensive tho

  19. Minor knee scrape at Vale at Silverstone, followed by full on the next week at Snetterton. Destroyed by toe sliders that day too as the pegs were too low. Never on the road. TBH, don't feel the need to try it

  20. Never for me too, even when I wrote off a bike the knees were pretty much the only things that didn't make contact  Think I got a very minor scuff on the Stowe Circuit at Silverstone last year.....must try harder this year
