Very nice, I was worried abut the grey looking white in the 1st picture, but the 2nd picture is much better.
Do you ever actually ride it, or are the weekends spent detailing it? never seen a bike that clean, good on you
Wrecked,I stripped it right down, so the frame and wheels were bare of everything ready for them to paint. I supplied all the panels off the bike, but screwed together where possible so they could work out the paint lines across the panels. The grey looking White is simply where it is so glossy it's reflecting the clouds  The bottom of the tank looks darker in the pics too, but In the flesh it is senna grey, and all are the same shade. Thanks for all the likes guys
Thanks guys. it was £1k all in, wheels, frame, panels. I forget the exact split, but roughly 180 / 170 / 650.
I would say worth every penny. I appreciate that you might never get that back but like me, I'm sure you couldn't give a rats arse about that. The Multy is such a special bike and is without doubt the best thing I have ever owned bar none. I've had the fast cars and other toys that people would die for, I appreciate I've been lucky ( though had to work hard for it). I do admit though without fear of ridicule that I look at my bike every day with total pride and therefore to spend that amount of cash to make something that I love even more special is a truly wonderful idea in my eyes. Good on ya mate.
Ojobear, I appreciate what your saying, and totally agree. Imo its a small price to pay to make the bike special when spread out over the time I intend to keep it. Its also a bonus that the wife loves it too
Stunning, utterly stunning but for the red hoops. Each to their own I say, however, lurve the calipers )) So you stripped it and gave them the frame? Apologies if I haven't deciphered the previous posts correctly John.
Yes mate, I took it apart and gave the painter only the parts that they needed to paint, plus the air tubes so they could align the panels to each other. They then removed the air tubes and all the fixing clips prior to paint. Strip down was roughly as follows (not detailed, but gives you the idea) all panels off tank off screen, top fairing & clocks off (stripped screen mount and clocks off top fairing once it was removed) headlight off dropped fork legs and fork yolks removed clutch, brake and throttle from bars and suspended out of way folded front part of loom and oil cooler to get it out of way removed front headlight bracket from headstock removed header tank removed air box unclipped loom from frame trellis unbolted radiator and supported it unbolted trellis and removed it removed remaining loom clips and code button from trellis. It took around 4 hours to strip, as I took pics along the way, and made sure I knew exactly where everything was so it could go back exactly the same. It would be much quicker to do it a second time. Going back together was a similar time, although there were a couple of gotchas that required back-tracking once or twice (mainly because I didn't do it exactly the reverse of taking it apart due to swapping the front brakes). Agreed the red wheels may be an aquired taste, but I had them on my ST4S that was in senna grey, and so this is a sort of senna / pikes peak cross, and imo wouldnt look right with black wheels
Hmmm - I thought "maybe I'll get my trellis frame done red over the winter to complete my PP interpretation". Then I read what you had to do to get it off the bike - and decided I really like it in the original Grey
I like to keep 'em clean, but to be fair that picture was taken when it was delivered back to me in 2011 I rode it through this winter though (after ACF50 treatment) and just gave it a thorough clean a week or so ago and it came up looking the same as the picture I posted. I used to think I was a bit obsessive about keeping my bikes clean - but then I met Andy  Won't be riding it again until the weather improves a bit...
I think it looks great mate, chuffed it turned out well. Just need to sort the cash out to get mine done now. If anybody else wants to use 'Damo Designs Ltd' then I accept payments in curley wurleys, beer and/or petrol
