  2. T'was me.

Pricing the correct size hex bar at the moment. They only come in 3 meter length. Also the AF size is difficult to get.

Won't be long and these nuts will be available.

I can make you a temp. one to get you by.

  3. I thought you would be along to save the day.

  4. Can I make a suggestion? Make some so they are blanking caps as well..........(at least that way some of us could do away with the bl**dy sender if we stick the pump and filter outside the tank)..........but leave the blank piece fairly thick so it could tapped to take say, a typical ON/OFF/RESERVE type fuel tap.......at a guess, 8mm is enough thickness for tapping....

  5. Would be interested in one when you've got them done. :upyeah:

I bought one from the USA as a spare but the one on my Monster broke so I used it on that, may never need it but I'd prefer to have one on the shelf in case the 916 springs a leak.

  6. Thanks final edition got mine gluing so will try that but thanks for the offer of a temp will see if the glue holds , but for sure will have one of the nuts as soon as you make them, not in to much of a hurry at the moment other bits to do thank again STUART

  7. Iff you do fit a new nut you will need to read this (Connector pin removal.pdf ) helpful guide to removing the electrical plug.

  8. thanks birdie was looking at that thought of just cutting the wires but a much better job that way , now no what is on the cards for today thanks STUART

  9. I use a very small thin screwdriver and push the tags down (it's about 0.75mm diameter)......if you look hard they can just about be seen..........and on reassembly, I lift the tags up a bit before I push the connectors back in.

  10. Best way to glue one of these nuts is to do it with Araldite.........find a round cap from a plastic can or something that the broken nut will sit in completely, with not too much space around it...sit the nut on a bit of plastic pipe or something similar which is a fraction larger than the nut hole,.........then fill the space around the nut with Araldite.....do it indoors as it will help the Araldite 'run' a bit and find a level.

When it has gone off, cut or pull the plastic cap and pipe (or whatever) away, then file new flats onto the Araldite.......It works.
