  1. I am going to change my bulbs in the downlights in my house , I've had a count up and have 54 , changing to LED will save me a fortune , I really don't know why I haven't done it before . Anybody totally converted and where did you find the cheapest supplier .

  2. totally led here. not cheap . bought from city electrical who are my preferred wholesalers. range from 8 to 1w.

    also go for warm white.

  3. You could obviously get those wireless controlled led bulbs that you control off your phone. It will cost a fortune to buy with 54 units but possibilities for colours are endless ;)

  4. Wholesale from hong kong

  5. I know for a fact that PJ is a big Prince fan.

So a purple tint will be his preference.

  6. Got a mix - they never seem as bright or should i say they don't shine or penetrate the same 'distance' even if equivalent outputs - got mine on eBay - similar amount of fails to non led

  7. Seen some Chinese jobbies on amazon , but the hunt (I said hunt) continues.
not sure on warm white as opposed to day/cool white , SWMBO do not likes a dimly lit room.
Purple tint Cluey , like my hair eh.!

  8. Yes I have changed some 25 bulbs to led. Tried B&Q/Homebase but their quality is shocking!!!!
Now got a trade account with these people who supply to the trade.
    GU10 LED Coloured Lamps

Customer service and quality is A+++

  9. Thank you Pete. Do you get them cheaper than what they are up for there.

  10. Hi I have replaced mine and they do save a fortune. However beware there are a lot of cheap and crap ones out there now. So do not just go on price. Search nerd and try and check and compare specs. Go for warm, cool are just too blue. I have bought from LEDHut and my last order came from LightRabbit.

  11. We had 35w in the kitchen so I swapped for 35w equivalent led bulbs but they were not bright enough so I now have 50w equivalent which are a lot better.

  12. The other half has replaced some of the bulbs at home (in the living room and hall, where we tend to have the lights on for longest) with LEDs, but they weren't GU10s but MR16s - he got them from LEDHut.

  13. No No No Peter Those you want :)

  14. I'll check that out after Lucas , don't think that's going to be very practical , having a quick look those are screw fittings I'd have to change all my holders.

  15. Well yes they do it likemost of the world do it but also they took pitty and did how UK does it just need to buy UK set :)

  16. I'm a grown man pal I don't want pritty I want manly . Maybe if they gave off a whiff of Brut.

  17. Yes the more you buy the better deal they give you.

  18. 54? Do you live on a runway?

  19. warm white is really what you need....the cool white leaves rooms like an operating theatre, not comfortable at all. price wise you need to spend on quality makes and go for an output of between 6 and 8 watts maybe lower in hallways etc. I even used a strip for above my bedroom units, they come as a roll about six meters long [IMG]and are driven by a small transformer.

even my outside security lighting is30w led[IMG]

  20. 4 bedrooms , two hallways , two bathrooms , two lounges both open plan combining a dining area , two kitchens . I have a self contained wing adjoining the house .
So I could save some dosh once I've outlayed .
