Philip Island test - Seen this?

    I doubt its quite that simple but interesting that they are trying a different rim width to Rossi.

  2. Hmm, yeah that is strange, I actually thought they were standard. I.e they all have to use the same RIM and tyre profile
     
  3. Interesting though, with a narrower rim, but the same tyre, it should make the profile taller, which then speeds up corning. Could it really be that simple. Easiest 10M Dall'Igna's ever made :tongue:
     
  4. shouldn't that read that crutchlow has a 1/4 "wider rim therefor a same width tyre is spread wider lowering the profile??

  6. Thing is.... surely if it was that simple they would all be playing around with it? I suspect it's more that at some point a while back Crutchlow decided he liked the fatter front RIM and has stuck with it, where as Rossi prefers a narrower (250 style?) RIM.

    *No Jokes about Rossi's RIM... We are all adults here.
