Hi, I just install my deepsump engine into the frame and start to reassembly the bike and it looks that the earliest models had different exhaust pipes. The question is that i need to buy only the small front pipe or i need to buy the hole systems. It looks that the front pipe is welded on a different angel like in a earlier model, hope will be enaugh the small front pipe For any info thanks in advance!
Was the original engine a shallow sump? There are two types of exhaust for shallow and deep sump engines.
Mine is originaly 2004 so not the deepsump engine and now i installed the deepsump. It measn that i need to buy the hole system? ??
Just the front pipe (the long one) Be care full, as you will need one that also fits the early swingarm.

Hi Phill, Yes, as you can see i always find something to be pissed off I think will be enough if i will buy the front short pipe and manifold can be worked beacasue i cant see big differnces between the earlier and the newer manifold.
Please if enyone knows or find on a ebay the mainfold & front pipe which i need then let me know. Thanks in advance!
Hello Everybody! i find ona ebay mainfold and front pipe as well. Anybody can confirm that 03-04 swingarm which i have cant do any problem regarding the fitting of the newer exahsut system. Buy the way it cost 207USD together with shipping. Thanks for any info!
Hello everybody, with this fuckin deepsump engine nothing easy. I was happy that i can buy from USA the fron pipe and tha manifold as well and i asked the dealer for a double check and it was for a earlier modell. The deepsump engine was used also in 749 or only in 999,1098...?
The only 749 that had the deep sump was the R . The 2003 999s to 2006s the 2003 999R to 2006 999R and all 999 including the base from 2005 had the deep sump . All 1098 models had the deep sump but that exhaust is different again from the 999 .
Its a madness! If i checking the oem drawing then i have the manifold for deepsump Exhaust system. Fits: 2006 Ducati SuperBike 999 Standard | Pandoras Ducati Parts The earlier look very different EXHAUST SYSTEM. Fits: 2004 Ducati SuperBike 999 S | Pandoras Ducati Parts Even the 2004 999S have old shape. Its strange that i have exatly same manifold like on a 1. link and why its not fit then.
FINALY!!!!! I mounted the manifold and the front pipe for deepsump engine, i bought it form italy for 100eur. I can enyoj the bike again. I already done 400km it works whitout problem till now, i will try to upload pictures of assembly. All the best for everyone!
Hi Guys, Looks like I have the same challenge as above. I recently purchased a full Termignoni kit (96433603B) which is for a standard sump. Looks like towards the end of production Ducati were installing the S Motor (Deep sump) into the standard 999 Testastretta as 'Ducati 2242' correctly mentioned above. Low and behold I should have searched for a Termignoni (96433703B) !! Can anyone assist with required parts and part no. to make this fit ? VERY Much appreciated.
