999 > 899 Pani

  1. You're absolutely right. I'm far from unhappy, and I feel very fortunate to have what I do.

Yes, it's just the "appeal" of a change for a shiny thing.

The 899 rides better, no question. Handling, comfot etc. No it doesnt have the low end shove or indeed the noise (my 999 has full system & remap).

The 999 is more of an occasion, the 899 is quite special for a new bike though.

  2. That is a minter, dont think I would be swapping. Give it 3 years when all those Trioptions bikes will be up for sale and you could bag a bargain

  3. But you've got a multi too , so surely its better to have a special occasion bike waiting in the garage.

  4. You're right chaps. It is a minter (only 4k miles) and very much an occassion bike. It's a very special thing, i think i'd be mad to get rid.

    another couple:

  5. Sod the bike, if thats your garage I'll have that!

  6. Second thoughts it's a pile of shite -

swap it for two blackies eggs and a bag of wotsits ?

  7. Powdercoated , anodised or painted sidestand, nice.

  8. And still got the bubble wrap on the tank too............

  9. Only 500 Neros as well if I'm right, so we can all stay in the exclusive club… :upyeah: IMG_20140207_161900.jpg

  10. Nothing wrong with gixers, I have one too.

  11. I've not done anything to the bike since I bought it, everything was done by Ducati for previous owner.

The only thing i have thought about is a small period Corse sticker on the front mudguard but it might spoil the "black". That's the extent of what I can think of

  12. Keep it GEH. Its nicer than the 899, its more exclusive than the 899, its has more street cred than the 899, it will only get more valuable, the 899 will only get less valuable.

The 899 is a great bike but so is yours. I'd also argue that yours has more providence as its actually won championships. The 899 has won nothing yet.

If you really have doubts sell the MTS and get an 899. I wouldnt be selling that bike if I owned it. Thats a keeper.

  13. This is rare too...but its still a pig :upyeah: image.jpg

  14. Lol. Brad you are a wag.

  15. I think the 899 is nicer more exclusive and has more street cred than a 999 and
the 899 is guaranteed to win a championship this year - it's maiden year.

  16. Guaranteed you say? Where do I place my bets?

  17. And what's it going to win? As it's not eligible for Supersport. It's going to win the single make Ducati Tri options cup, that's about it.

Don't get me wrong, I like the 899 but I'm not sure where u are going with this

  18. I'll take a grand off you El tel.

  19. I know, its all moot bollocks. I just like that Nero.

  20. Ducati TriOptions Cup

One could argue it's not a championship I suppose :)
