Well I took it for its MOT this afternoon. Proper old school bike shop, been around since year dot. The old guy, who has been around bikes, racing and everything related since the ark rocked up professed it was the nicest Ducati road bike he had seen in 40 years of looking after bikes, and it was, quote "like new and a stunner". Thanks for the support guys, a keeper I think! I'll have a play on an 899 in a year or two when free garage space permits.
The way I would look at it is this: Quite apart from the fact that you should keep your über cool appreciating classic , you have to ask yourself, how many sponds would it cost to change? Then you ask yourself what could you do with that money? Go on holiday to the Maldives? Buy some other thing you have hankered over? A year's supply of exclusive cheese? A good stab at a wine cellar? A zillion track days with tuition? Look at it like that, and suddenly, for the additional fun quotient (questionable) the 899 is looking very expensive.
I have created the Admin Group Tools [h=1]Triple 9 Nero Club[/h] so now you need to apply to join it, then I can approve you. Quite what it is going to achieve, I have no idea.
Compulsory chassis log and collection, extra forum points for a plaque on the top yoke and special stickers on the side. Makes me want a T9
Brads if you knew anything about a 999 you'd know there would only be room on that sculptured masterpiece of a top yoke for Du- foc .... Short for Ducati Forum Club
I just tried to join as I feel if I'm the first Glid lets in I can be the hand of the king. He hasn't let me in yet . I hope the vetting procedure isn't to stringent.
