has anyone ran ebc 2 on the road , tried 0 and 1 today didn't seem that much difference , I believe the higher the number the less engine braking ? is that right, cheers
0 = max engine braking 3 = min engine braking.... is the case on the 899, so assume the same for the 1199
Jimmy, you might find this interesting. I was speaking with Wilf, at Motorapido, about the EBC system and he commented that under normal riding conditions there is no appreciable difference between 1 & 3 (or 0 & 3 for that matter). It is only under aggressive (very) braking and downshifting you would notice the system working and this above 6000rpm. It is, after all, a system to stop the back wheel locking up when changing down through the gears aggressively. Personally, l leave at 0 or 1....why? I like the braking torque, it's one the best things about two pots. So, what if the rear wheel dances around a tad.... Digressing slightly, I flipping hate the quick shifter...... should have named it DSS.
yeh mate we do pull on a bit on the road not track speed tho,, my q/shifter was crap at first but at first service had a new map put in , and is smooth as anything now,
