Hello from arctic Sweden I used to have a 2005 yellow sport classic and it was the loveliest bike I have ever owned. I bought it from Parkinsons i Colchester I went there just to test ride the 848 and the 1198 after the test ride I saw the sport classic and decided to give it a go. Needless to say I went home with a brand new yellow sport classic without hesitation. Unfortunately I had to sell due to relocation to Sweden and I always regretted since! (Both selling the bike and moving to Sweden:smile. Its really difficult or near impossible to find one for sale. I am willing to pay good money for the right bike! I believe the best ones end up in dealerships around Uk and sold quickly. It would be a real treat to own it again ! Any help or point in the right direction would be sincerely appreciated. There's one on eBay.co.uk at the moment with a few modifications but he has the original parts. He's been trying to sell it for 6 months, being a bit ambitious with the price and the last auction got to about £7500 I think. Make him an offer.
I have made him a good offer of 9000£ but he turned it down! Now I am not sure if its worth that much money or if the value will keep going up. Whats the main opinion is it worth 9000? will it keep its value ? Should I wait for a more reasonable priced one? I am not so keen about the modifications , bur he does have all the original parts etc. I saw one for sale on autotrader 2008 model sold for 8000£ lower milage. Any suggestions or feedback from a forum member would help me make up my mind ? Cheers
From memory there's nothing on it that's worth much money apart from the Termi which is probably the only thing you would want to keep.....he was advertising it for 12k originally. IMO he must be mad not to accept your offer and I would walk away, they'll be another one along soon, and it will be the same one at a lower price !! I've said if before, to think I sold a 2006 with Termi's for £4k in 2009 makes me weep, and I struggled to sell it.

He's been trying to sell it for the past 2 yrs, when I first enquired about it he wanted £7500 but all his mods put me off it plus his silly salesman attitude lol
He keeps declining my offers even though I am the only one biding. Its has been about a months of haggling with this guy. Love the bike exactly what I am looking for minus the mods. I have offered him 8000£ but he declined. what more can one do
He's obviously got no intention of selling, thinks he's got something better than any other SportClassic.. Move on mate, another will be along soon. I might just press 'buy it now' and mess him about !!
