Yep better brakes, TC electronics etc is safer plus higher wider bars, more comfortable especially in town. Just sayin.

Friend of mine bought the 899 and its really really good bike and more easy to ride if i compare with 999. You need to decide that you prefer great old SBK shape bike or you want some new in your life, but in one thing you can be sure: the riding on a 899 not will be a big challange like on a 999

Yeah... what happened to Yellow Ducati's!!.... Technically the 899 Should be Yellow shouldn't it? the 748 always was (the proper ones). I bought a standard 848 because I didn't want all that matt black rubbish, you boys with your black T9's.. Rubbish Only joking, there is a 'S' on evilbay at the mo which looks the mutts nuts...
Yeah...when I tell people I've got a Ducati they always assume its a red one,like you say most 748's were yellow and as far as i'm aware most 749's too,i like the way the colour of the bike changes in different light,ranging from daffodil to deep gold...I remember a mate of mine saying that he took his yellow superlight to a Ducati dealer for a p/x and the dealer told him ''we don't do yellow'' and offered him a silly price,i don't understand why....I think the 899 would look much better in yellow than the pearl white option.
Strangely, I just can't see the 899 in yellow, not sure why.... I can however see it in metallic black, it would look lovely, but would need some coloured wheels or something.
Ive got a white 1198. Its only the black thats dodgy (hehehe targeted at Matt). Yellow is a cool Ducati colour. I got a white 1198 as it was such a great deal. Seen a yellow 1098 and that looked sweet.
keep the 999 i have a 749s & i think they look absolutely class wouldnt change for an 899 i know it would be easier on the clutch more electronics to contend with sure they will become classics soon just like the 916
