  1. Hi spent day at dyno bike in malton thanks for great service , my pani with mwr race filter austin system running one end baffle ended up 191 bhp 96.5 lb torque smoothed out everything under 8k rpm not much needed tweaking above 8 just slight . Be pushing 200 at crank that's with power commander fitted .

  2. So, could you now describe that output as 'adequate' then?

  6. much has kopes got ? think hes had engine work as well ?

  7. u wern,t on crimestoppers the other month were u bradders ? :p

  8. Why fit a power commander? Why not just re-programme the ECU for the bike/exhaust?

  9. I was wondering why he has a power commander on it too

  10. Ok, here's my 'dick waving' BHP two peneth. My 1098R has a few mods and made 190.3rwbhp and 99.4 torque thingies. And its absolutely friggin crackers!! The 1199 has to be around here somewhere cos I was chasing one round Almeria late last year but couldn't quite catch the fucker. So for sure, in my mind, the 1199's are fucking rapid! My mates riding a 1199R from a 1098R and reckons there's FA in it but perhaps the 1199R squeaks it. In the right hands of course.... Not mine by the way....

  11. I was advised to use power commander by austin as works in conjunction with ecu does not over ride it . Spoke to few places not many people had re programmed e cu and no current maps avail so had to be a custom map . Only other option was to re program current e c u . T jhought power commander was easiest option to try first . I may been wrong bit seems to run much smoother .

  12. If there is a map for austin can I could not find it i prob should have asked first on here

  13. you did right mate any tuner worth his salt will tell u downloaded maps are a waste of time you need a personal map for your bike as they all differ which is what you've got ,and also every dyno differs , there are bullshit dynos what give 20bhp over the top to give you pub talk ,

  14. I owned an 08 Fire blade and had a custom map done by Crescent Verwood (Alan Cook)Another chap found this out as we had the same full system (Akro) and filter (pipercross) on the same year and model bike and sent him my map. When he eventually got his custom mapped,my map was miles out on his identical bike.Custom map every time.

  15. Dynos are meaningless in isolation

  16. The downside with custom ecu mapping is you cant easily, and cheaply, re do if you make some kore mods. Wheres with PC etc you can. Still probably wont be as good but depends on £££££ in the bank

  17. Spot on. Most dynos are designed to read very optimistically. They are only good for comparative tests: before/after, or between bikes tested on the same day.

  18. Only reason done it was because running terrible bottom end now it's sorted not for figures done a before and after only for curiosity . As I could not get any info thought i d pass on what results were .

  19. A good mate of mine has installed an auto tune on his PC V and is happy with the results as it will retune in real time every time he takes his Blade out .
