Which fields? Can you screen shot it and perhaps I can change it? Vbulletin is good but it is now a dead product. Meaning no support and poor development. Several large forums have been hacked recently. The 2 guys that were at vBulletin in its prime started Xenforo. It has a great future and will get better with time.
Thanks Rob, that was very useful. In fact I went through all the possible preferences and have now got things more to my liking. It's probably well worth suggesting to people that they take a few minutes to do this.
I couldnt get on this site last nite it kept showing some unrecoverable error, does the fact my pc is running xp have anything to do with it?

When you click 'What'sNew', it shows the threads along the lines of '<so and so> replied to thread <thread>'. Is there any way that there could be a user preference setting that allows it to be set so that the thread came first, or perhaps have just the thread title and not see the message/poster? I don't care who's replied to anything until I know the topic first, so the noise-to-signal ratio is in the favour of noise at the moment.
Is there a way to stop the forum loading bottom up on my ipad as opposed to starting at the top? What I mean is when I click through from my bookmarks it loads the page but sends me to the very bottom first, only does it on my ipad I reckon?
Okay this site now crashes my internet explorer if I come onto the main first page but if I go directly into the forum it is fine. Using Windows XP
Id rather not, not really wanting to add another program just to access one forum as everything else I look at works fine its just here that is crashing IE
