Cat and Fiddle shenanigans.

  1. Boy this guy was lucky - fair play though at least he held his hands up and agreed he was at fault....bloody lucky though. I never been on that road (im too far darn sarf) but have heard its a major biggie for accidents...

  2. It's a great road. Providing you don't ride like a cock.

  3. I think youd have to know the road from what I can see - he went to fast for the corner and it dropped away with the added timing of the oncoming car....

  4. Looks to me like a fun road. Visibility appears good and the bends pretty much constant radius. I'm in agreement with El T
The guy in front for most of the vid seemed to be tramping on pretty quick but did seem to know the road and was riding within his capability.

I reckon that the subject was full of it after his overtake, lost concentration and panicked. Its weird he doesn't seem that leaned over and yet he lets it straight line on a section that does not seem that twisty.

Bloody lucky he missed the on coming car. I wouldn't have liked to see what remains of the bike it looked like it tumbled a very long way

  5. He did well to avoid a head-on with the oncoming car. But did bad to over-cook it into the corner on the wrong line. But did well to be able to walk away. I sampled the C&F in 2011, just the once. I could see why there is so much scope for cocking it up.

  6. Nah - the bike stayed on the side of the road....you just get a brief glimpse of it....lucky sod....all round....

  7. Hey pete - were you in Louigi motos a couple of weeks ago on the weekend??

  8. Isn't it that the guy's bike (the white one), shown at 3:51? It seem to be stuck under the barbed wire or in this case, 'catch fencing' ;)

Looks like it's just the guy and his camera that went tumbling.

Very lucky indeed, I'd have been too embarrassed to post that up on YouTube.

  9. The road surface doesn't look too clever.

  10. Sorry, not me. I have never been in Louigi.

  11. Ah - ok - I was chatting to a few blokes and one of them said he was on the forum - I must have got the name wrong....

  12. And the male ego takes over.... lucky lad!

  13. I was raised in Macclesfield at the bottom of this road, know it very well and seen too many crashes. This guy, well... So many things can be said about his riding. He was fortunate.

The council put up some average speed camera's along the Cat & Fiddle run in an attempt to stymie bike accidents. Shame the camera's didn't take into consideration a legitimate short cut. They pissed away so much coin on this.

  17. Christ, that was close.... Makes you think twice doesn't it

  18. Think twice about riding like a cock?

  19. Not to far away for me and I hate it, it's always bloody cold, you see a crash every time you go up there and full of knobs
