Ive seen a post that had some of the answers in while back, but i cant find it again so apologies upfront if im asking someone elses answered question. Id quite like some forged alloy marchesinis in my 848. My level of riding probably wont benefit in any way, i just like things like that and miss them from my old 1098S (and the gold suspenders) I know the 1098 front will fit and the rear wont. Im ignoring the front as id like front and back to match. I believe 996/8 rears (though not RS models??) will fit the rear. But what about the front? And lastly, what about things like posh monster S4r thingies? Im pretty sure some of those had single swingers and posh wheels. (not an expert on those, or anything else to be honest) And if ive missed any potentials then im all ears. Splashing 2k for new ones isnt an option though. Cheers
916-998 rears fit and fronts fit, if you get 15mm offset discs (748R/998R) and a 30mm speedo replacement spacer. I have 916-998 Marchesini wheels on my 916 which has an 1198R front end and this is the setup I have.
That sounds good. Are the spacers both readily available or made specially? Offset discs sound expense. Ill have a look to see if 320mm brembos exist.
Speedo replacement spacers are available but can also be easily made by any engineering firm (or you could use an actual speedo drive or even 'dissect' one for the spacer/bush part). Discs are not cheap and can be tricky to find new but 748R and 998R used them so Ducati did supply them. I got Brembo HP discs in 15mm offset.
