So what have you done today..?

  1. Took the wife to John Lewis this morning for more shopping, not that I went without ! Back to work this afternoon and still very busy , so all good. Quite fancy a beer tonight :)

  2. By Christ she does OK out of you doesn't she? ;)

  3. Been home from work 5 minutes and wife pipes up cat's not very well I think you should take her the vets, (even though she's been home all day) so rang local one and chased round there with 15 minutes till closing.... Parted with £40.00 it has water infection.
Got back home sat down for tea, thought it was cold...... went upstairs to turn on heating, no pressure and error code.... asked wife how long has it been off, she said most of day but cat was more important so I didn't say anything..
All the above is somewhat irritating, but the final comment which was if the boiler breaks you'll have to sell you bike so we can have a new one took the biscuit.
She now knows she will be freezing in hell before that's ever sold - think it may be a quiet chat free night tonight

  5. Sat in a review this morning, I cannot believe how unbelievably rude some people are, to the director!! He asked an perfectly innocent question. These are highly educated people who frankly have no social skills. I then listened to someone bleating about having to produce finance figures last week when I was on leave, hah welcome to my world and you didn't need to, you just thought my job was easy, well now you know!
Other than that a good day. Funeral tomorrow so not so good.

  6. A day of over reaction creating work and hassle for me. Laptop down at 2030 and now beer. Wish that was it until Monday

  7. just back from the first run of the year. bit chilly but all good, almost had to endure the walk of shame, bike cut out going along the promenade in oban, coasted to the side restarted thankfully, due to the embarrassment caused punishment was served:D. out early the morra. glen coe, killin, and from there nobody knows.

  8. Took the bike to GTEC for belt service, met Jeff for the first time... great bloke.
Before departing watched a rather entertaining lorry driver nearly take out the telephone wires outside before he got the artic stuck in the mud and had to be dragged out with a 7.5T truck.

  9. New PR4s fitted at Tyres r us Eastleigh. Highly recommended

  10. Just finished cutting the other half of our laurel hedge ! I am knackered. Watched daughter no.3 play at her piano concert earlier which was most enjoyable  picking up no.1 daughter from the train station later on this evening, back home from Uni for Easter, all the family back together again :upyeah:
No biking this weekend, Mother's Day tomorrow ! :)

  11. Had a long and winding run to/from Ducati Manchester where I had a discussion and got a price for p/x'ing the 848 EC SE for an 899. So I have something to think about. If someone is interested in making me an offer then pm me.

Also met Dick Dastardly (member here) there. Which was nice.

Got home cleaned Eva thoroughly and put her in the garage. Probably till tomorrow morning :)

The lads, wives and grandchildren are coming over for lunch tomorrow so that'll be nice :upyeah:

  12. Just got back a funeral. even the vicar toasted Alan with a glass of wine during the service. It was very refreshing to hear a vicar talking about someone they actually knew. The last 'hymn' was 'always look on the bright side of life'. It truly was a celebration of Alan's life. Unfortunately I am increasingly finding it is at funerals I'm catching up with old friends.
Tonight we are going to hear a friends son play in his band.

  13. Had a long day at work today but weather was lovely and I had a productive day. Commuted in on my little SS so had a nice ride today.

12 over for lunch tomorrow three generations so should be lively!

  14. Took the shitebird out for a run, feels a lot better with new brake pads and rear tyre. I wasn't gonna change the front tyre just yet cos it's got plenty of tread, but I might change my mind now. Will speak to my brother about booking a trip to Assen for the Dutch TT, that'll give it a good run.

  15. Fantastic pic, I've done some snorkelling (will be again in a few weeks in the med) but would live to do my padi and do some proper diving

  16. Do it. I love diving. But do it someplace other than the Mediterranean. It's boring there.

  17. I've snorkelled around tabarca and torrevieja as the folks live there, plenty around those lications, yet go 3km down the road to la mata and there is nothing to see unless you are a sand enthusiast. I don't expect it to compare to more advanced diving locations though..

  18. Diavel is chained to ground anchor in garage now I can't find the key to the lock.....it's hacking me right off!
    :/

  19. Hacksaw?
