Garmin ZUMO 340 / 350 / 390

  1. Hello,
as spoken in the thread about the Zumo 210 / 220:
Here is the solution to mount the Zumo 340 / 350 / 390 in the middle of the handle bar with a lasersintered Part.
I developed it for a member of the German Multistrada Forum.
These are just Pictures from my first Prototype.
The parts have arrived just now. I haven`t finished anything.

  2. Here is the next step.
I have reinforced the part in some places and added a 3th guide pin.
    I'll make the next prototype.
In 2 weeks I'll get the part from Shapeways.
    I will then report here.

  3. Could be interested in one of these when its finished.

  4. Nice designed !

  5. Does it allow the 390 to be charged whilst on the bike? Looks like it does with the cut out on the bottom half of the bracket.

  6. Yes, you can charge it with the origin mini USB cable

  7. Nice design and I like the finish but......I can't see why people still get excited about a satnav mount that attaches to the handlebar/mount. It's out of your eyeline, you struggle to find a tank bag that doesn't obstruct it and the movement of the bars could eventually put a strain on the connections. The Navihalter is a much better solution as a satnav mount IMHO. Just saying....

  9. Very nice Reiner but I'd be much more convinced if it mounted the sat nav in the middle of the screen like the Navihalter.

  10. We have updated the files for the lasersintered
Black Nylon Parts in the German Forum once again,
and we added the Part for the new TOM TOM 400:

  11. I,ve got a similar mount from the U.S which mounts to the handlebar, I did have a Navihalter but sold it on this forum, yes it's in your eye line but problem I had is it was to close to me so was just a blur due to ageing eyesight !! so was disappointed :(

  12. Hi Reiner, do you still do the central handlebar mount for the Garmin Zumo 220? If so, how much?
    Thanks
    Jon.

  13. Thanks, prefer the type of
NAVIHALTERUNG Multistrada ZUMO 5XX ZUMO 660

Are the holes on the 5xx 38mm across and 31mm down, as I could use the proper mounting tray that came with the 220 Zumo. It is more secure as it is held all around and has provision for the charger plug to clip into. Jon.

  14. The holes are Diameter 5,7mm - 38mm across and 30 mm down.
You can use it for the origin mounting tray of the Zumo 210/220.

  15. Excellent, I shall be ordering one of those then, with a Drift HD remote control holder and a dual Scottoiler bracket too. Any discount for Forum members Reiner?

  16. I can not affect the price of Shapeways. I create only the data.
Each piece is individually made, so there is no quantity effect.

  17. Fair enough. Last question I promise! Do you do a remote holder for the older Drift HD1080. The remote does not have the LEDs in the sides, but I do not know if it is the same length top to bottom. Jon.
