Its now 10 years since Ducati in their infinite wisdom dropped the SS from their lineup Values have plummeted and many on ebay are being broken for parts a few years ago per the ducatisti web site there was an annual gathering of the clan to get a few SS owners together 2 simple questions, are their enough SS riders left to make this idea feasible? and is anybody interested in doing this? Venue I've suggested is the Super Sausage on the A5 which does excellent food and is central to most of the country Date set for this by consensus of opinions is the 8th June around 11:00
Have still got my bike and the t-shirt from the last one. Think the first one was at Jack's Cafe and the second was based around a hinckley area rideout
We went to the 2nd one, about a hundred bikes at a café for grub, my kind of meeting. Didn't do the ride out coz I was 2up and it started to drizzle. I've still got the bike and the tee too, wear it from time to time. I think Mr and Mrs(Lisa) Dieselator organised it. I met up with Michel and a couple of others for the ride up there. Anniversary Gathering sounds good to me.
Great sounds like there is some interest Went to the couple of these one at Jacks Hill and another at some animal place. Jacks Hill is on its knees the food there has deteriorated to the point that you would not want to eat there. However just down the road the super sausage is serving excellent food and has huge numbers of bikes there every weekend
+1 for a meet up. Is that Super Sausage on the A5 near Towcester? If yes it's a lovely run across country for any Essex chaps.
Before I had sorted the bike out, I went to one between Market Harborough and Kettering............Rothwell / Desborough area..................Something like a 200mile round trip. But in my location, I'm a bit out of the way for any direction...........too far East, so I have to do loads of miles even before I get anywhere near North or South. AL
maybe organise one down south these meets previously were based in the midlands which co incidently is where I live and intend to organise another
Can't remember which one I went to where we had a group photo in front of a round about in front of the cafe. All I remember was getting lost on the ride out, a real hoot
